Asa was ready for this. OK, that was a lie. She honestly didn't think she had a chance. She had many valid and concrete points about why she can't win this tournament, focusing mainly on how her quirk is more utility than power, how physically her strength was lacking, how little practice she had with her quirk or any ideas that came up. For all purposes, Asa believed this was a battle she could not win.

However, this could be a milestone, some hill to climb. Everyone has challenges, right? Right. Besides, her dad was watching this tournament. Knowing him, he probably had it playing on every screen in the store. She had to do her best, for him. She began reviewing her strategy in mind. She hadn't had much time to prepare, being the first fight, but she had came up with many ideas, tossed a few, polished others and sorted them in a neat little pile. Her main strategy would be to use her spirit form to chase her opponent out of the ring. She would lay down facing them, hopefully throwing them off enough to let her close distance in spirit form, then press against them. She knew that anyone touching her spirit form would experience a disturbing, freezing chill where ever she touched, so naturally if she put her whole body to use, they'd be walking into a blizzard wind,or it would feel that way, at least. Then, while they recover, she returns to her body and tries to knock them out of the ring while they're distracted and maybe even off balance.

The buzzer rang in the ready room and she heard Present Mic on the intercom. Time to go.

The crowd roared in the stadium around her as she walked towards the fighting ring. Well, technically it was a rectangle so it was a field? No, no, stop the distractions. Focus. She climbed the stairs and saw her opponent do the same on the other side. Dante. She had worked with him in the Cavalry battle. He was another utility quirk but he was stronger than her, physically. This would definitely be tough. She called out to the other student, trying to put out some good sportsmanship. "Hey! Good Luck!" She said, smiling politely. There was a brief pause before he responded "Keep it, you'll need it more," Dante looked confident. She'd have to change that. There was no time for more banter as Present Mic cheered with the crowd and the ref called the start of the match. Asa dropped to her hands and knees and launched her spirit out towards Dante, silently praying this would work.

I'm sorry to do this to you, but Asa's spirit is her stand.

Anyway, yen. 445 words is 445 yen, but wait there's more. +950 bonus yen for 1395, then a +15% resulting in a grand total of +1604 yen!
